Looking Like a Bum

When I first saw the Violet Hill video clip for the first time I put myself focusing about their outfit in the clip, it looks........ bum. What the hell!!?? I thought I would be able to screwed it of and think that kind of outfit was just made for this clip and it's a kind of uniform thingy..

But.. When I browsed YouTube and found a live performance of Coldplay playing Viva La Vida in an MTV Movie Award this year, my hopes that they would take those outfits away just perished right away.. They're wearing it again!! Can't you find a better outfit??

This outfit is personally lame... damn lame.. and Chris' left elbow part is kinda funny, it looks like that Trade Fair thing that they had been screaming about. When I found out the true meaning behind the costumes I was like.. "oohh.." that's it, just that "ooh.."

When they're wearing these and those looks they gave at the photo then you can't blame someone if they accused them of being a bum.. :p

Oh.. by the way.. for the next photo shoot, would you please give the guitar to the right player in this band, give the guitar to Johnny, even though Will could play that guitar, and make it a Gibson next time.. :p

Coldplay is of Flying The Roof

Coldplay has set a new record. This time they broke the record of the most downloaded album in the history counting over 354,000 times beating John Mayer's Continuum album with only a tiny number of 1,000 downloads.

With 32.5 million albums (combination of sales for each album) have been sold, this record will make those numbers even higher, as the physical sales of the Viva La Vida album had not been announced yet. We'll be expecting it.

42 -- Music Review

When I first hear this album it was exciting to hear all the experimental sounds that Coldplay uses in this fourth album, Viva la Vida. One of the single that catches me straight forward while having only hearing the entire album for the first time was 42.

If this single were to be out and published I'm sure this single will be a big hit and could follow Viva la Vida as the the most favorite single all around the world.

The single opens by the lyrics:

Those who are dead are not dead
They’re just living in my head..

Simply mesmerizing at the first phrase..

The single opens with a slow beat.. and huuuuu huuuuu sounds, and after that an upbeat, if you see it in the video Chris switched from the piano to the guitar -- an ugly guitar -- followed by Jonny's guitar strums.. the song then went to the next level.. and sounded more like Radiohead, surely you can tell.

After i listened all the singles in the entire album, i find that this song is darker or at least equal compared to Cemeteries in London. It talks about death, ghosts and all.. but still I don't get the meaning yet.. :p

Take a look at the live performance clip of the song I gave at the top.

Viva La Vida Release!!

Finaly today I got my hands on Coldplay's new album entitled Viva La Vida. This album is the result of the long wait for three years since they release their 3rd album, X&Y. When I first heard that Coldplay is giving away their new single a month ago called Violet Hill, I couldn't help myself to download it right away. That single really did give some elements of surprise as the sound used were different and I think they start playing around with different kind of sounds and musical aura in this 4th album. I couldn't find something related to the old Coldplay sound until the last verse of the song.

Viva La Vida

cassette

Yeah I only got the cassette, well it's because I already had their MP3s so there's no point in buying the CDs.. :p

It proves that this album is different, and is more like a new beginning, maybe it's a fresh start just like their first album, Parachute. The sounds and lyrics are gloomier and with little lyrics sing in every track that describes about love, the essence of the band from the previous three album is still there though with the added producer's influence sometime I hear Bono is singing rather than Chris Martin. Yeah sometimes I got that feeling, U2's sounds or Bono's way of singing in Chris' voice.

The album started with Life in Technicolor which is an instrumental song as a nice opening to the whole album. Some interesting single like 42 which talks about the dead and sounded more like Radiohead, but the single that is going to be a hit is Viva La Vida. Coldplay fans will surely without a doubt not going to be disappointed with this album, but for starters this album is worth to try, Viva La Vida is the right single starters for you.

Go here for the album track listing.

Starting from April 29th we could get a free single download from the Coldplay's Official Website (they're not giving it anymore), then on Wednesday May 7th, there will be a free limited edition 7-inch vinyl of 'Violet Hill' on the cover of NME magazine, backed by the exclusive B-side, 'A Spell A Rebel Yell' wow.. I wish I could get my hands on those :(

Anyway the media talks that this new album will be very different from the previous three, and Coldplay considered this new album would be a new beginning from the last trilogy. The album would have a more gloomy sounds and will be very different from the previous three albums. Check the ITunes Store to get the their album early on.

The first impression when I heard they're new single violet Hill I was quite shocked.. I thought I was hearing a completely new band from the first verse till almost the end. They're playing sounds which is not very coldplay-like kind of sounds IMHO, but when the song reached the closing verse there I senses the Coldplay I knew before.

With everyday hearing the songs on my daily playlist.. i became quite like it.. :D
